One of a Kind A one-hour film (ABC AFTERSCHOOL SPECIAL) about an abusive mother and her daughter who live on the Santa Monica pier. Carrie’s husband ran out on her so she has to raise her 11 year old daughter alone by working at a concession stand on the pier. A puppeteer arrives on the beach and unfurls his Punch and Judy puppet show which captures the attention of the girl. She uses the puppets as a way to reach her mother to stop the abuse. Diane Baker stars and Maurice Jarre’s music lifts us into a magical world. |
